Forecasting & evaluation of infectious disease dynamics - SISMID

A course and living resource for learning about forecasting and evaluation of infectious disease dynamics, originally developed by the nfidd team and adapted for SISMID.

This course runs in the second half of the SISMID week (Wednesday midday to Friday) and covers forecasting concepts and models, forecast evaluation, ensembles, and collaborative (hubverse) modelling.

It is one of a pair of SISMID courses: the companion Nowcasting & \(R_t\) estimation course covers the first half of the week (delay distributions, the renewal equation, and nowcasting), and this Forecasting & evaluation course covers the second half. See the umbrella SISMID course for the combined material.

We invite anyone to use the materials here in their own teaching and learning. For questions and discussion of the course or its content, we welcome all users to the Discussion board. We welcome all forms of contributions, additions and suggestions for improving the materials.
